Netflix drops four first look images from Young Royals season 2 revealing that Prince Wilhelm is still at the Hillerska school with Simon.
New first-look images from Young Royals season 2 reveal that Prince Wilhelm is staying at school. The Swedish series which was created by Lisa Ambjörn, Lars Beckung, and Camilla Holter premiered on the streaming service in July 2021. While it still remains a slightly more obscure entry in their teen series canon it has developed a devoted international audience on the platform. Although there still is not an official release date season 2 which finished production in May 2022 is set to premiere before the end of the year. The cast includes Edvin Ryding Malte Gårdinger Frida Argento, Nikita Uggla, and Omar Rudberg.
Young Royals follows Prince Wilhelm (Ryding) after a video of him partying and getting into a fight gets released forcing his parents to ship him off to the prestigious Hillerska Boarding School. Although he is resentful of being trapped in the luxurious but rigid confines of the school, he quickly begins to warm to his classmates especially scholarship student and choir star Simon Eriksson Rudberg. Over the course of the season their friendship begins to blossom into love, but Wilhelm sexual awakening has a wrench thrown into it in the finale when an unexpected accident may require him to leave Hillerska and return home.
Today, Netflix dropped a surprise gallery of four new images from Young Royals season 2. Naturally, all of them either focus on Simon or Wilhelm, but they largely take place at Hillerska implying that the Prince has not been pulled away from his education quite yet. Other than one image of Simon brooding in the woods every photo shows the two of them becoming closer including a charged moment where Simon lightly touches Wilhelms side as he works on an erg machine.
