Julianne Hough Apologizes (Again) for Blackface Costume: "It Makes Me Sad I Was That Dumb"

Julianne Hough deeply regrets her ill advised 2013 Halloween costume, in which she donned blackface while dressed as Suzanne  Crazy Eyes Warren  Uzo Aduba from Orange Is the New BlackHough apologized for the costume back in 2013  but issued another mea culpa in a recent interview with Allure magazine.






Ignorance is sometimes not bliss the Dancing With the Starsjudge tells Allure.  I really had no idea what I was doing and it was all out of fun and respect for the character. I do not even know how to talk about it because its such a sensitive topic. It makes me so sad to think that I was that dumb. I learned a big lesson.Hough 26 drew fire from stars and non-celebrities alike when photos of her in the costume surfaced online two years ago. Aduba called the costume choice  unfortunate  but encouraged people to move on in the wake of Hough's initial apology.


Though we have had a taste of the new fall season with the early release of Foxs Monarch the real 2022 fall season starts on Monday Sept. 19 when Fox NBC and CBS begin new seasons of returning favorites and premiere new series like another round of NCIS the sophomore season of The Cleaning Lady and the debut of the Quantum Leap continuation. The rest of the week is equally busy with more FBI  One Chicago  and Abbott Elementary among the highlights.


The fall season continues through early October with The CW finally launching its slate in the 10th month of the year. While The Flash and Riverdale will wait until midseason to roll out The CW will be launching Walker Independence and Supernatural spin-off The Winchesters during that week. Meanwhile NBC will be the last to wrap up fall premieres with the November launches for Young Rock and George Lopezs new sitcom  Lopez vs. Lopez.
