Paramount+ Renews "SEAL Team" For Season 7

Streamer Paramount+ has greenlit the veteran military drama SEAL Team for a seventh season. Debuting on CBS in September 2017, SEAL Team, starring David Boreanaz, moved to Paramount+ after four seasons in October 2021.

The series follows the professional and personal lives of the most elite unit of Navy SEALs, as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous, high-stakes missions our country can ask of them. In addition to David Boreanaz, the cast of SEAL Team includes Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley, Toni Trucks and Raffi Barsoumian. Original cast member Max Thieriot now headlines the CBS action drama Fire Country, which is confirmed to return for a second season.

Since moving to Paramount+, SEAL Team has seen its seasonal episode order reduced. Following 22 episodes in seasons one and two, and 20 episodes in season three on CBS, the Eye net reduced the episode order to 16 in season four. Since moving to Paramount+, 14 episodes were produced in season five and just 10 in season six. There is no confirmation how many episodes have been ordered for season seven.

“We look forward to bringing SEAL Team fans even more of the series’ poignant storylines and thrilling missions with the upcoming seventh season,” said Tanya Giles, chief programming officer of Paramount Streaming. “The series continues to evolve and grow its audience. It is a great example of the types of programming that we see resonate with our subscribers.”

SEAL Team is produced by CBS Studios, and executive produced by Spencer Hudnut, Christopher Chulack, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Mark Owen and David Boreanaz. The series is distributed worldwide by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
