Official: Action thriller "Plane" with Gerard Butler from May 19, 2023 on Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray and 4K Steelbook

Leonine Studios has officially confirmed the release of the action thriller "Plane" (UK, USA 2023). The feature film by director Jean-François Richet, starring Gerard Butler and Mike Colter, will be released in German retailers on May 19, 2023. 

At the same time, the physical home entertainment premiere will take place in HD on Blu-ray Disc and in 4K including HDR on Ultra HD Blu-ray, each as a standard edition in a keep case. The 4K UHD is also evaluated in the limited Steelbook at the same time . Both versions are equipped with German and English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound and have featurettes and trailers as extras.

Synopsis: The pilot Brodie Torrance (G. Butler) gets caught in a violent storm with his plane. His machine is struck by lightning, causing the instruments to fail. He then has to make an emergency landing on an island. But there he quickly realizes that the daring maneuver was just the beginning. As soon as the plane is on the ground, dangerous rebels take its passengers hostage. Torrance is the last hope for the hostages. Luckily he is not alone, as he has the help of Louis Gaspare (M. Colter), a suspected murderer transported by the FBI. Torrance will also need Gaspare's special skills if they want to free the hostages... (pf)
