Tickets are selling quickly for WWE Royal Rumble 2023.WWE is enjoying tremendous success in regards to Royal Rumble 2023 ticket sales.
Royal Rumble 2023 will run at the Alamodome in San Antonio Texas on Jan. 28. This will be the fourth Royal Rumble event to take place in San Antonio; the city also hosted the 1997, 2007 and 2017 events.
According to a report from the Sports Business Journal, WWE has sold more than 25,000 for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. The report noted that this marks "a new record in terms of paid tickets and gross revenue for a first on-sale weekend", and that Royal Rumble 2023 is on pace "to set a new revenue record for the event."WWE announced an attendance of 52,020 for the Royal Rumble 2017 pay-per-view that took place at the Alamodome. Randy Orton went on to win the match by last eliminating Roman Reigns, and the former would go on to defeat Bray Wyatt for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 33.
For what it's worth, BetOnline lists Cody Rhodes (recovering from surgery on a torn pectoral) as the overwhelming favorite to win the 2023 men's Royal Rumble match at -115, with The Rock behind him at +550. 2019 winner Becky Lynch is the favorite to win the women's Royal Rumble bout at +250, followed by Bayley (+450), Rhea Ripley (+600) and 2020 winner Charlotte Flair (+600)
There are four confirmed pay-per-views left for WWE in 2022, starting with Extreme Rules this Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Halloween Havoc event for NXT superstars will take place on the 22nd at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Crown Jewel 2022 will be held at Mrsool Park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Nov. 5. The last 2022 pay-per-view for main roster stars is Survivor Series WarGames, which will run at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on Nov. 26. The first WWE PPV of 2023 is Day 1, which is scheduled for New Year's Day at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
