Young Royals season 2 on Netflix potential release date, cast, plot and everything you need to know

Ever imagined what would happen if you mixed Élite and The Crown together with a generous helping of Skam the Nordic equivalent to Skins? Us neither but that did not stop Lisa Ambjörn Lars Beckung and Camilla Holter from doing exactly that with Young Royals  Netflixs latest teen obsession.

Thankfully it works like a charm providing an addictive LGBTQ+ love story about a man torn between love and duty.Prince Wilhelm started Hillerska Boarding School in season one  with the end of the episodes seeing him having to decide between the crown and his love for Simon a fellow student whose background is not exactly of the royal variety. With a cliffhanger like that Netflix just had to renew the show and thankfully they have now confirmed Young Royals will indeed return for a second season.

So now that we know about that official renewal heres everything you need to know about Young Royals season two. Filming for season two started back in February 2022 and we know that because Netflix teased fans with the announcement via this adorable video.

If its going to be anything like the first season they have only filmed a further six episodes with no major effects to be added in post production  they are school kids after all not superheroes And now  in July 2022 Netflix has finally confirmed that Young Royals season two will be dropping in full some time in November 2022. Its still a little bit vague but at least we know that Simon and Wilhelm will be returning to our screens very soon before the year is out.

Keep checking back in here and we'll update you as soon as we know more about the specific day new episodes drop in November. Both Ryding and Rudberg connect to their characters. There are certain things why we can relate to these characters Ryding told Numero.  I can see myself in Wilhelm when it comes to his struggles with anxiety. I have done my research about the royal families but theres so much more behind it that we as civilians do not get to know. So we will never know exactly what its like. From what I have read and what I have seen I know I do not think I would want to be a young royal.

It would be fun to try it out for a day or a week, but not forever Rudberg agreed. Edvin really tried to be a prince on set sometimes though. I can relate a lot to Simon. Whenever he has at school  with friends but also when he comes home to his Latin American mother and they speak Spanish. They have this same little connection. Life at school is not the easiest thing for him and that way I see myself in Simon. I cannot relate to his grades though.
