Sweet Magnolias season 3 is not coming to Netflix in January 2023! The wholesome drama follows “three South Carolina women, best friends since childhood (Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue), as they shepherd each other through the complexities of romance, career, and family.” Sadly, the popular series will not be returning to our screens with new episodes at any point during the month of January 2023.
But fear not! The Netflix hit, based on the novel by Sherryl Woods which first premiered on Netflix in May 2020, is on its way, and the wait may not be too long left. Find out the latest release update for Sweet Magnolias season 3 below!
Sweet Magnolias season 3 updates
In October 2022, it was confirmed by Netflix and showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson that filming for season 3 had wrapped, but unfortunately, as of January 2023, the show still doesn’t have an exact release date. That being said, in an October press release from Netflix, the streaming giant teased that the feel-good series (compared to Firefly Lane, Virgin River, and Ginny & Georgia) is set to return in spring 2023.
So while we can’t provide you with an exact date of release, we can offer you a prediction as to when we could possibly see new episodes on the streamer.
Given that it takes anywhere between six to nine months for the show to finish post-production, we estimate that the earliest we could see Sweet Magnolias season 3 is likely in April 2023. Of course, this is just our own prediction, and we urge you to take this with a grain of salt as the official release date could be pushed back further, although we hope this will not be the case.We’re sure that as we approach spring, more information will become available.
