NCIS: Hawai'i star Yasmine Al-Bustami shares heartfelt message to fans amid show hiatus

 NCIS: Hawai'i star Yasmine Al-Bustami has shared a heartwarming tribute to fans of the show after her character, Lucy Tara, won a competition run by CBS. 





The broadcaster held a poll on Twitter, asking fans which fictional CBS character they would want on their team to help save the day, and Lucy Tara won 85.4 per cent of the votes. Watch Yasmine's message in the video below.It was a close competition, with LL Cool J's NCIS: Los Angeles character Sam Hanna coming in second place. 


Yasmine shared a sweet message to voters after the result was announced. In a video message shared by CBS' official Twitter account, she said: "I just found out that y'all voted for Lucy to be on y'alls' team to help save the day and I just wanted to thank you guys for that. I will be on y'alls' team any day. Thanks to the NCIS: Hawai'i fans for voting and the CBS fans for voting. Fans were quick to react to the tribute, with one person commenting: "Yasmine, you deserve all the love in the world!" while another added: "We love Lucy, #Kacy and #NCISHawaii."


Yasmine's good news comes amidst the show's three-week hiatus. New episodes of NCIS, NCIS: Hawai'i and NCIS: Los Angeles will not air this week, with all three shows set to return later this month.


The flagship drama and its Hawai'i spin-off will air on Monday 10 April, while the LA series will continue on Sunday 16 April.
