It's time to catch up on all things Letterkenny as a new season of the popular comedy series is coming to Crave and Hulu just in time for Christmas.Fans can begin preparing for another round of seasonal laughs as Letterkenny has revealed when its upcoming eleventh season will debut on American and Canadian streaming services.
The official Letterkenny Twitter account has announced that Season 11 of the hit Canadian comedy series will debut on Crave on Dec. 25 with Hulu receiving the new season the following day. The upcoming season will mark the first new Letterkenny content fans have received since the show's International Women's Day special, which debuted in March 2022 and saw the women of Letterkenny host the first annual Anti-Beauty Pageant. The series' first live-action spinoff series, Shoresy, also debuted between the tenth and eleventh seasons.
Created by Jared Keeso, Letterkenny is a Canadian television sitcom that follows the residents of Letterkenny, a fictional rural community in Ontario loosely based on Keeso's hometown of Listowel, Ontario. The series was initially developed and released as a YouTube web series titled Letterkenny Problems, which was wildly popular online and led to Canadian streamer Crave commissioning Letterkenny as its first original series. The first season debuted on Crave in February 2016 with Hulu acquiring the U.S. streaming rights in June 2018.
Keeso also created Shoresy, a spinoff series focusing on fan-favorite Letterkenny character Shoresy (played by Keeso) as he moves to Sudbury to take a role with a struggling Triple A-level ice hockey team, the Sudbury Bulldogs. The first season consisted of six episodes and debuted on Crave and Hulu in May 2022. Reception to Shoresy was positive, with critics praising the visual jokes as well as how the show manages to humanize its titular character. The series was also lauded for its realistic depiction of indigenous characters and for inverting the stereotypical gender dynamics in hockey by placing women in power positions.
Letterkenny Season 11 will once again star Keeso, Nathan Dales, Michelle Mylett and K. Trevor Wilson, reprising their roles from previous seasons as Wayne, Daryl, Katy and "Squirrelly" Dan, respectively. Evan Stern, Tyler Johnston, Patrick McNeil and Danny VanZandwyck have also confirmed that they will be back for the upcoming season, with Stern sharing a photo of the actors in character as Letterkenny skids Roald, Stewart, Connor and Darien, respectively. The photo, which looked to have been taken in Stuart’s basement, was captioned, "The boys are back in town."
