“Cobra Kai”: the end of the series was a decision of the creators and not of Netflix

 In an interaction with fans via Twitter, “Cobra Kai” co-creator Jon Hurwitz revealed that the decision to end the series was not Netflix’s. “Cobra Kai”, an original YouTube production acquired by Netflix, will come to an end after the sixth season , with no premiere date.

Questioned by a fan about his reaction to the news that the series would not have new seasons, the screenwriter replied that the authors were responsible for the decision . In addition to Hurwitz, Josh Heald and Hayden Schlossberg also participate in the creation of the series.

The dramatic comedy “Cobra Kai” follows the rivalry between Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), years after losing a major karate tournament, and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), both at the age of 50. The actors participated in “Karate Kid – The Hour of Truth”, in 1984.
