Some time ago, we revealed that Chris Fulton would no longer be playing Rience in Netflix’s The Witcher alongside Henry Cavill. Instead, the role was recast and Rience is now played by Sam Woolf in Season 3. That led to discussions in the neighboring fandom of Bridgerton about Fulton’s role in the upcoming seasons of the show as per its source material, his part would be expanded sooner or later.

Now, we might have a little bit more clarity on why Fulton will no longer play Rience in The Witcher Season 3.We have learned that Chris Fulton has joined the upcoming seventh season of Starz’s hit series Outlander. In the new season, Fulton will be playing the character of Rob Cameron, who is described as a handsome man in his mid/late thirties.

Chris Fulton’s Rob Cameron, from what we can tell, is supposed to be one of the antagonists in the future seasons of Outlander and he’ll likely become a series regular there.UPDATE: Interestingly, as we discovered on Reddit after the publication of this news, Fulton has already been spotted on the Outlander set in early July, just a few days after an action scene featuring The Witcher‘s Rience was being filmed in Wales. At the time we thought it was Fulton, but in fact that was Sam Woolf, as it turned out later.
