Fans watching at home could not stifle their sniffles when Kate Humphries entered the famous barn with a 1960s childrens ride on train in desperate need of some TLC.
Kate went on to say the train belonged to her dad who had recently suffered from a stroke. She was hopeful that metal expert Dominic Chinea would help to restore the item to its former glory so her father could watch his grandchildren use it.
Unfortunately soon after Dominic started to work on the train Kate revealed her father had passed away. The restoration continued and the train was as good as new much to the delight of the Humphries family. An emotional Kate said during the reveal I think it would have meant the world to dad. Its beautiful. Its absolutely beautiful. Kates daughter Agnes was with her during her return visit to the barn and got to test out the train her grandad loved so much.
Fans were left in tears with the stunning restoration and heartwarming moment, with one writing on Twitter TheRepairShop pulling on the heart strings again the train was beautifully restored.
