Cobra Kai is a Netflix Original series that continues the story of the 80’s Karate Kid movie franchise. The show centers around the original film’s rivals Johnny Lawrence (portrayed by William Zabka), and Daniel Larusso (portrayed by Ralph Macchio), following their lives into their adulthood.

The plot begins with Johnny Lawrence’s striving for redemption by re-opening his old dojo – the titular Cobra Kai. The emotional tension of the story comes from the relationships of the two leads with their respective children through their teenage years.
