Eddie Izzard looked glamorous on Sunday as she led the celebrities at the British Film Institutes event in London to celebrate the life of late actor Alan Rickman.The comedian 60 sported a red midi dress with a wrap over detail for the event which took place ahead of the forthcoming launch of a book containing Alans condensed diaries. A slew of famous faces and good friends of the legendary actor were also in attendance to the commemorative event including Dame Emma Thompson and husband Greg Wise.
Harry Potter legend Alan passed away in 2016 at the age of 69 after a private battle with pancreatic cancer. Teaming the red dress with black tights Eddie elevated her height with a pair of glossy, pointed toe heels. She added a bright red lip to match the look beaming for snaps inside the BFI Southbank event dubbed Madly Deeply A Celebration Of Alan Rickman. Meanwhile Emma who starred across from Alan in a slew of productions including classic Christmas flick Love Actually dressed smartly in a white shirt and grey tartan patterned trousers.
Clutching onto the soon to be released book the actress also added a red lip look as she beamed alongside her husband Greg .The producer and actor looked dapper in a pair of black jeans paired with a light blue shirt and black blazer to match. Celebrating the life and hugely succesful career of Alan the event was hosted by Mark Kermode and featured some of his most iconic moments on screen and excerpts from his diaries.Starting in the early 90s Alan wrote dozens of detailed handwritten journals which have all been edited & condensed into a single volume to create the book Madly Deeply The Alan Rickman Diaries.
