Sons of Anarchy saw the complicated romance between Opie Winston and Lyla but what happened to her after Opies death in season 5?
Sons of Anarchy gave the audience a look into the personal lives of some of the title clubs members including Opie Winston Ryan Hurst who married Lyla Winter Ave Zoli but what happened to her after Opies death? Created by Kurt Sutter Sons of Anarchy took the audience into the world of motorcycle clubs which was full of drama and betrayals not only among clubs but also within each one of them. Sons of Anarchy aired from 2008 to 2014 for seven seasons and it was praised for its tone performances, and the themes addressed in it such as brotherhood, corruption, and racism.
Set in the fictional town of Charming California Sons of Anarchy follows Jackson Jax Teller Charlie Hunnam VP of the title club at the beginning of the series and the son of John JT Teller one of the founding members of SAMCRO. The series kicks off when Jax finds JTs manifesto in which he shared his ideas and views for the club which were very different from those of the clubs current President and Jaxs stepfather Clay Morrow Ron Perlman. This sends Jax on a journey that makes him question his relationships family and role in the club but luckily he was accompanied through most of this by those closest to him such as his wife Tara Knowles Maggie Siff and his best friend Opie.
Unfortunately Opie died in Sons of Anarchy season 5 in one of the series most heartbreaking scenes. Opie did nOt just leave Jax and the club devastated but also his kids step son and his wife Lyla who had a complicated and sad story throughout Sons of Anarchy before and after meeting Opie and it only got worse after Opies death.
At the beginning of Sons of Anarchy Opie was married to Donna and had two kids with her but their marriage was going through a rough patch as Opie had just gotten out of jail and Donna did nOt want him to go back with the club. Opies story was plagued by tragedy as in season 1 Donna was killed by Tig Kim Coates under Clays orders but it was a mistake as he was going to kill Opie but he changed places with Donna at the last minute. Lyla was introduced in Sons of Anarchy season 2 and she was a porn actress working for Luann Delaynes company Cara Cara. Lyla and Opie quickly bonded over both being single parents and they got married at the beginning of season 4. However they separated towards the end of the season as Lyla did nOt tell Opie she was taking morning after and birth control pills, and after he slept with one of her co stars she admitted to having had an abortion.
