TMNT Reveals a Mutant Who’s Way More ‘Party Dude’ Than Michelangelo

While Michelangelo is famously Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles resident party dude there seems to be another mutant who fits that persona even better.

As the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon theme song stated, Michelangelo is a  party dude but as it turns out he is not the only one. In fact TMNT reveals a mutant who encapsulates the  party dude persona way more than Michelangelo ever could.

The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book series created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird told the story of four sibling Turtles Leonardo Donatello Michelangelo and Raphael who all trained under the tutelage of their father Master Splinter. However unlike how the series is portrayed today the original TMNT book was incredibly dark. In the first issue alone the Turtles hunt down and kill Shredder in gruesome fashion and that was not the last of their gritty black and white adventures. Essentially in the early pages of TMNT no one was a  party dude  as all the Turtles were equally committed and focused on their roles as Splinters clan of ninja assassins.

However when TMNT was turned into a Saturday Morning Cartoon, the Turtles were free to lighten up a bit and have some fun in between ninja missions. Not only that but each of them were assigned their own distinctive personality that people watching could relate to. Leonardo was the focused leader Donatello was the brains Raphael was the brawn and Michelangelo was thats right the  party dude.

In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles  38 by Kevin Eastman Tom Waltz and Mateus Santolouco, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are meeting with a former enemy named Hob a mutant cat who underwent a similar metamorphosis as the Turtles themselves. While Hob used to only care about killing the Ninja Turtles at all cost he has come to the conclusion that mutants need to stick together and that includes the Turtles. With Shredder growing in power and Krang gearing up to send his world ending Technodrome to Earth the Turtles find themselves in need of some allies so they decide to join forces with Hob and his team of mutant rebels one of whom is a rad skater lizard named Mondo Gecko.
