In an interview with CBR, Shoresy director Jacob Tierney producer Kaniehtiio Horn and star Harlan Kytwayhat talk bringing the sports comedy to life.

The Letterkenny spinoff series Shoresy has finally arrived on Hulu with the Canadian comedys first season available to stream in its entirety. Joining series creator and star Jared Keeso on the project is longtime collaborator Jacob Tierney who directs the series and appears as a Québécois ice hockey announcer. Starring alongside Keeso is Harlan Blayne Kytwayhat as Shoresys best friend and the teams head coach Sanguinet who more than keeps up with the fast paced banter. After starring in Letterkenny as Tanis Kaniehtiio Horn takes on a producer role on Shoresy working with the cast and crew.

In an exclusive interview with CBR Tierney Kytwayhat and Horn talk about bringing the sports comedy to life. The creatives explained how they set out to make something very different from Letterkenny and revealed their own personal connections to the production and sport.

Jacob Tierney That was the point. Jared wanted to do a hockey show so we knew this show was going to be focused on hockey. The surprise to me when I was reading the scripts was that it had a real storyline to it. It does feel more like a movie than Letterkenny does because we are watching a story unfold before us. With the hockey stuff that was the idea  it was a point for Jared to make it as authentic as possible. We had a lot of consultants and the guys that play the hockey players are all actual hockey players. It was as crucial to get that as right as possible because otherwise whats the fucking point?
