Sam Heughan Waypoints excitement builds as star teases creative insight to fans with one month until release

 The Outlander star had fans bursting with excitement as they vowed to grab their copy  with one even likening it to the birth of a baby. 

Excitement is building for Sam Heughans new book as the Scots hunk marked one month until it is released.

 Waypoints My Scottish Journey is Heughans first memoir. It promises to be an intimate journey of self discovery as the Outlander actor takes on Scotlands West Highland Way while mapping out the moments that shaped his views on dreams and ambition family friendship love and life. The book will be available to buy from October 25 and Heughan could not contain his excitement on Sunday at the prospect. And he told fans he would be putting out a newsletter on Monday giving insights into how Waylands came about.

His message also included a picture which typically had his fans swooning as they reacted with delight to the news. Kirsten said: "How exciting for you as well as for us, like bringing a baby into the world and wait for everyone’s reaction, just way more private and vulnerable than your spirits. This is you solo, Sam Heughan, not a role you’re playing and it takes guts, be very proud!"

The synopsis for Waylands promises "a love letter to the wild Scottish landscape that means so much to Sam, and a charming, funny, wise and searching insight to the world through his eyes". Heughan himself said: "Waypoints is a memoir with a difference!

 I wanted to tell the stories and share the experiences that have shaped me but to do that I needed to challenge myself and spend some time in my own company away from the distractions of everyday life.
