Liam Neeson recognized for his role as Jedi Master Qui Gon Jinn reveals he cried while rehearsing his characters return in Obi Wan Kenobi.Actor Liam Neeson recently revealed he cried while rehearsing his surprising reunion with Ewan McGregor in Disney+s Obi Wan Kenobi.

Per Collider Neeson spoke at a press conference explaining how meaningful his reunion with McGregor was to both actors.  It was Ewan McGregors Obi Wan on a camel  a real camel and me Neeson said.  We rehearsed it before we shot it and we just started crying and it was lovely. That Star Wars that we did Phantom Menace we shot it over 25 years ago. It came out in 1999. First appearing as Jedi Master Qui Gon Jinn in the 1999 film Star Wars Episode I  The Phantom Menace it had been over 20 years since Neeson donned the Jedi robes. After two decades of not seeing Obi Wan and Qui Gon share a screen, Neeson returned to reprise his role in Episode 6, the final episode of the Obi Wan Kenobi miniseries. However, the iconic prequel series character appears as a Force Ghost with an encouraging word to his Padawan.

The actor was not the only one to get sentimental about the touching reunion. McGregor previously praised his costar Liam is a hero of mine  And so to get the chance to work with him and to have this great relationship that we got to create together is fantastic and to get the chance to work with himself again on the series right at the end.

First rumored in 2019 McGregor agreed to reprise his titular role in Obi Wan Kenobi but left fans wondering who else would make up the cast. Despite his eventual brief cameo Neeson initially shot down rumors of his involvement in the Disney+ miniseries by saying he had not been approached for a role in Obi Wan Kenobi  but would not be against the idea.  They do not have enough money Neeson joked on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
