Fall TV is back, and it certainly kicked off with a bang. We got a great two-hour NCIS crossover event at the start of the week. Will we end the week with a new episode of the third series in the franchise?
There’s some bad news. NCIS: Los Angeles is not going to premiere its 14th season tonight. We have to wait a little bit longer for this one. It’s the last of the shows to return to CBS.
When will the NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14 premiere air on CBS?
We start with some good news. The series is still part of the fall lineup. We just have to wait a little longer than everything else to watch the first episode. It won’t premiere until Sunday, Oct. 9.
It is not all too clear why there’s such a long wait for the premiere. Why wouldn’t it come back when The Equalizer returns the weekend before? This is potentially due to football.
The Equalizer and new series East New York are preempted slightly because of the afternoon football game on CBS. This happens a lot this time of year. With NCIS LA getting the last timeslot of the night, 10:30 pm ET may be a little too late for the premiere. Instead CBS has opted to wait a week when there isn’t a football game to preempt the dramas.
The first episode will pick up with a bombing at a military facility. This facility is where the military combat drones are assembled, which is worrying for the team. And if that was the only troubling news to get. Callen and Kilbride learn about a body in Syria. Is it Hetty?
