The Disney classic Frozen is known for its famous soundtrack including the hit Let It Go. When the Broadway musical version of the show hits the stage this month at Durham Performing Arts Center there will be 12 new songs to get stuck in your head The movie featured seven songs written by songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. The same writers created the new songs which help expand on the relationships between the characters of Anna Elsa Hans and Kristoff.
While the production focuses more on the first Frozen film there are some elements of Frozen 2 said Belinda Allyn who plays Queen Iduna in the show. There enough little nuggets from Frozen 2 if you are a huge Frozen fan that you will get to see some of those influences as well Allyn said. As for that Disney magic fans can expect some of that too. Theres some incredible stage magic that happens to tell the story especially during Let It Go unbelievable moments where the cape flies away and Elsa, out of nowhere has this beautiful gown on Allyn said.
Allyn said the show appeals to younger and older audiences alike. Whats really amazing is you obviously have a lot of little kids dressed up Anna and Elsa Olaf and Sven. Its amazing to see the little ones and their families but then you also get a lot of adult groups just coming and living their lives together and screaming when Elsas singing Let It Go Allyn said. You may not think of yourself as a big Disney fan but I guarantee you that you will enjoy many things in this show.
