The erotic thriller which stars de Armas alongside her ex boyfriend Ben Affleck as a married couple in a toxic and deadly relationship received negative reviews upon its release earlier in the year.
Now the star has opened up about where she feels the movie went wrong saying that she would not compromise on a director again.Directed by Fatal Attraction director Adrian Lyne de Armas seemed to throw some shade at the director when she told Vanity Fair I learned that I cannot compromise on a director. Because at the end of the day that is what the movie is going to be and thats what the experience is going to be and thats the person that you have to trust the most she added of the films director.
The actress who is currently starring as Marilyn Monroe in Blonde also opened up about her relationship with co star Affleck saying I have never been someone that wants any attention thats not about my work. So when the attention is not about my work it is upsetting and it feels disrespectful and it feels inappropriate and it feels dangerous and unsafe. But especially in this country I do not know how you can find protection.I do not know how you can stop that from happening other than leaving she added. She likened this fascination with her personal life to the experiences Marilyn Monroe went through saying It was one of the things that brought me closer to Marilyn .She loved what she did she loved the profession and she respected it very much. She just did not receive that back.
